Police investigating two young girls found all alone inside Hyannis hotel room…
HYANNIS – At about 7:00 a.m. this morning, a Barnstable Police Patrolman announced he was off with two juveniles who were “unattended” inside a local hotel room. The officer’s supervisor and another officer immediately responded to assist.

About 45 minutes into their investigation, police officers made contact with the children’s mother who had shown up at the scene reportedly under the influence of some type of drug, according to sources. The mother was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
The father was contacted and called to the scene to take custody of his children. Both children are reportedly safe at the time of this report.
The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families was also called in to investigate.
