COTUIT – The following HN Video shows a heartfelt roadside vigil for Kevin Quinn, a new father and combat veteran, who was tragically killed in a head-on collision with a vehicle that was fleeing from police officers on July 28, 2018. (Click here for HN coverage of the crash.)
The fund was set up by friends of fellow Marine, Kevin Quinn of Mashpee, MA.
Kevin was tragically killed on Saturday July 28 a little after midnight in a motor vehicle crash as he was returning home from visiting his wife Kara (Sullivan) and their newborn baby daughter at the maternity department of Cape Cod Hospital.
The following was taking directly from the Kevin Quinn Memorial Fund page:
He was supposed to be returning to the hospital later that morning to bring them both home to begin their new life with their daughter.
As he was driving home he was hit head-on by a vehicle driven by a person who was being pursued by police and crossed the center line into Kevin’s SUV.
Kevin is a combat veteran with two deployments to Afghanistan, returning home to marry the love of his life Kara Sullivan of Yarmouth.
Kevin had started Quinn Excavation and Septic in Mashpee a couple of years ago.
Kevin was very much excited but nervous about being a father, his daughter, Logan Audrey Quinn, born on July 25, at 2:19 a.m.
We all told him that he was going to do just fine as a dad…
All donations and proceeds will go directly to help Kara and Logan.
NOTICE: Funeral Procession from Christ the King in Mashpee to Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne…
The following was sent in by a dear friend of Kevin:
Monday August 6th 1045-1245 to honor the life of Kevin Quinn let us line the procession route from Christ the King parish in Mashpee on route 151, down to Route 28 northbound to the Otis rotary. Let there not be one foot empty as we stand shoulder to shoulder to give Kevin the hero’s send off he has earned.
Cape Cod honors it’s fallen .
