ROLLOVER: Woman hurt and Route 28 shut down after 3 car collision…
HYANNIS – At about 3:40PM, police and rescue rushed to the intersection of Route 28 and Captain Ellis Lane after a MVA landed one of the cars on it’s roof…
According to witnesses, a woman driving the red Ford SUV entered onto Route 28 and struck an Xfinity cable truck before going head on with a white SUV in the eastbound lane. The red Ford SUV was said to have crossed the center line.
Prior to transporting to CCH, a trauma alert was issued for the female driver of the red Ford SUV that had rolled over onto its roof. All other drivers and passengers were evaluated at the scene and declined to be transported.
Route 28 was closed down in both directions for a period of time…
The accident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police Department.
