SANDWICH BLAZE: Officials investigating truck camper fire that extended onto side of welding shop… [HN VIDEO]
SANDWICH – Crews were called to the rear of Cape Cod Axle & Driveshaft at 332 Route 130 shortly before 9:00 p.m. this evening for a truck camper with a propane tank that caught fire, with the flames expanding onto the exterior of a welding shop.
Witnesses on scene heard several explosions…
Location and outside propane tanks initially caused additional challenges and concerns for firefighters. Welding tanks inside the building were also a concern at first, but firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames before they could extend too far into the building.
Nobody was injured according to Chief John Burke of the Sandwich Fire Department.
Officials were still on scene investigating the cause of this fire at the time of this report.
