PROVINCETOWN – Police and rescue suddenly began making their way toward a residence on Upper Miller Hill Road as a 911 operator was on the line with a male stating he had just been stabbed in the neck…
The call came in at about 8:35 p.m. last evening and the suspect was believed to have left the scene on foot.
The patient was described as a 50-year-old male, with a penetrating stab wound, approximately 5 to 6 centimeters deep, to an area behind his right ear.
When Medics learned the Medflight helicopter would take about 45 minutes, they eventually changed the initial landing zone from a location in Wellfleet to Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis.
According to radio transmissions, police searched the area for the suspect…
… and it hasn’t been officially confirmed, but police may already have someone in custody. [DEVELOPING]

The patient was conscious and according to radio transmissions, the bleeding was under control as he was being transferred from the Provincetown ambulance into the Medflight helicopter.
