SHARK! – Police and lifeguards close down Dennis north side beaches… [HN VIDEO]
DENNIS – Officials ordered everyone out of the water at Corporation and Mayflower beaches this afternoon after a woman spotted what she believed was a shark…
As you will hear in the following HN Video, the large fish was said to have jumped out of the water 3 times… it was gray on the top and white on the bottom, with a large fin…
A retired Dennis Firefighter was on scene and deployed a drone over the swimming area at Corporation Beach, but was unable to spot a shark.
Meanwhile at Mayflower Beach, just west of Corporation Beach, someone also saw what was believed to be a shark.
Officials at both beaches initially ordered everyone out of the water. Swimmers were allowed to wade back in after a period time, but only up to their knees…
