STARTLING CONSEQUENCES OF ILLICIT DRUG USE: Man in protective custody for suspected drug use also charged for allegedly removing clothes and pleasuring himself inside ER… [HN SHOCK VIDEO]
HN NOTE – For some, the following HN Video may be difficult to watch… but please keep in mind this behavior happened in the middle of a family neighborhood around midnight when families were trying to sleep. This is not an unusual scene for the Hyannis area, day or night. What makes it unusual is what victims were subjected to after this man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
Also, the video is highly edited and HN is withholding the suspect’s identity for the time being. The suspect is being charged with a very serious crime and there were at least 5 witnesses, but the suspect was also in protective custody for being highly intoxicated.
HN was told the suspect in this case was taken into protective custody for non-alcohol drug intoxication. The footage is important because it highlights out of control behavior which was allegedly drug induced. The video is meant to call attention to what can happen when someone ingests street drugs. The adverse consequences of illicit drug usage can range from out of control criminal behavior to permanent brain damage, or death.
HN was informed the suspect in this case apparently did NOT have a notable prior criminal record.
HYANNIS – Early yesterday morning – September 27, 2018 – at about 2:42 am, officers were dispatched to the Cape Cod Hospital Emergency Room for a patient causing a disturbance.
Earlier, yesterday at about midnight, and as you will see in the following HN Video, officers encountered the highly intoxicated 41-year-old Hyannis Man on the ground, wearing nothing but pajama bottoms, yelling, ranting unintelligibly, and exhibiting bizarre behavior. He was calmly and carefully taken into protective custody and transported to CCH.
When officers responding to the ER disturbance first encountered the suspect, he was reportedly completely naked. The suspect had been in the process of being discharged when he removed his clothing and started to masturbate in front of others. He reportedly would not stop and became verbally abusive with staff when told to knock it off.
According to court documents, at least five people allegedly witnessed the suspect’s behavior.
The suspect was arrested, charged with the felony of Open and Gross Lewdness, booked, and later transported to Barnstable District Court for arraignment.
