TECHNICAL RESCUE CALL IN HARWICH: Man working alone had arm pinned under heavy machinery… [HN VIDEO]
HARWICH – A man was working alone in a secluded area when a heavy piece of equipment fell on him, pinning his arm underneath…
… luckily for him, he had a working cellphone in reach of his free arm.
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at about 10:35 p.m. last evening, police and firefighters responded to 15 Evergreen Way and eventually were able to find the man trapped and injured, outside behind a warehouse.
Blocks were immediately placed around a tire to prevent further rolling as firefighters used a large post to begin hoisting, while police officers pushed down on the opposite side before finally freeing the man.
According to sources, the man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening at the time of transport.
