UPDATE: 26-year-old man dies after early morning crash…
SANDWICH – UPDATE – According to sources, the Carver man who was airlifted after an early morning crash last Thursday has died.
The Cape Cod Times reports that Taylor Barry, age 26, has died from his injuries.
Shortly after midnight last Thursday, 8/18/2016, police and firefighters rushed to a single vehicle crash after receiving multiple emergency phone calls.
A pickup truck left the Route 130 roadway and crashed into a wooded area across from the intersection with Dogwood Drive.
Medics immediately requested a Medflight helicopter.
According to sources, the young male driver suffered severe head trauma and was in grave condition. Barry was airlifted to a Rhode Island area trauma center.
An accident reconstruction expert documented the entire crash scene and the accident remains under investigation by the SPD.
