Upstairs bedroom “engulfed in flames…” all humans and two dogs make it out safely… firefighters contain fire and save home… [HN VIDEO]
BARNSTABLE – A young man named Peter was outside the home, visibly upset, thinking he had possibly just lost his brother in the fire.
It was shortly after 8:00 p.m. when firefighters from Barnstable, West Barnstable, and Hyannis rushed to the house fire at 57 Captain Loring Lane.
HN quickly learned everyone was out, including two dogs.
Relieved his brother was safe, Peter told HN he had smelled smoke and went upstairs to check. The doorknob to his brother’s room was burning hot and when he finally got the door open, he was pushed back by heat and flames. The room was fully engulfed and he was forced to retreat down the stairs and out of the home.
As you will see in the following HN Video, firefighters arrived quickly and went into attack mode, hustling and containing the flames to the upstairs bedroom. It was a good save.
The following HN Video also shows Tucker, the young pit bull who Peter and his German Shepherd were both “babysitting” at the time of the fire.
