WAREHAM MAN LUGGED FOR HOME INVASION, STABBING, COPS SAY…
WAREHAM, MASSACHUSETTS – According to a statement from the Wareham Police Department, on February 7, 2025, WPD patrol officers responded to the Woods at Wareham Apartment Complex, located at 48 Swifts Beach Road, for a stabbing.
Investigating officers learned that a male, later identified as Ian Hill, 29, from Wareham, allegedly forced his way into an apartment while armed with a knife. Hill then allegedly violently attacked a male inside the apartment, according to the WPD statement.
Hill then allegedly fled the area prior to Wareham squad cars arriving on scene.
The victim reportedly suffered serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to Tobey Hospital.
Upon receiving a citizen tip on Saturday – February 8, 2025 – Wareham Officers located Hill within the Woods at Wareham Apartment Complex, where he was taken into custody without incident, according to the WPD.
Ian Hill was charged with Home Invasion and 2 counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Hill was held on $25,000 cash bail and was expected to be arraigned today – February 10, 2025 – at Wareham District Court.
The Wareham Police Department media statement concluded by saying, “Chief Walter Correia Jr. applauded the collaborative effort between the citizen tip and the Patrol Division taken a violent person off the streets of Wareham.”
