*** WATCH *** AN EVENING OF VIOLENCE: GUNSHOTS, ASSAULTS, KNUCKLEHEADS ON THE LOOSE…
TOWN OF BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – It was a Tuesday evening of violence where Barnstable Police had their hands full with reports of gunshots, assaults, and knuckleheads doing what they do best.
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, shortly after 10:00 p.m., a number of Barnstable Police officers responded to an address on Moco Rd. in West Barnstable for a report of gunshots inside a residence. Officers surrounded the property and ordered everyone one to come out of the house. Four people were detained. The two suspects, however, had already fled the scene, possibly in a white pickup truck. A Cape-wide B.O.L.O. was put out for two local brothers who are no strangers police.
While investigating the gunshot scene, police called a West Barnstable FD ambulance for a woman possibly suffering some type of reaction to drugs (at the Moco Rd. address). She was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital. While EMTs at the gunshot scene were loading the woman into an ambulance, police had to suddenly break away and scramble across town toward another violent call on Spring Street in Hyannis.
According to BPD radio transmissions, the reporting party on Spring Street stated that two males, possibly both armed with firearms, broke into the residence. A white pickup truck was reportedly spotted in the area at the time of the call. Police were wondering whether the Hyannis crime scene on Spring Street could be somehow related to the West Barnstable crime scene on Moco Road. Some details match between both scenes, but there are also factors pointing toward the contrary.
The following HN Video then shows footage from a car stop where, a short time after midnight, a BPD detective spotted a man in Hyannis who was wanted in what was described as an earlier assault case unrelated to the scenes on Moco Road and Spring Street.
The investigation into all three cases remains very active and ongoing. The following HN footage shows three separate scenes. The first two scenes may be related on one hand… but on the other hand they may be completely unrelated… it’s too early to tell. All three scenes happened within a relatively short span of time. The suspects in the first two scenes remain at large.
It was a busy evening. The following HN Video attempts to show some of the action…
