*** WATCH *** BOATING ACCIDENT VICTIM SUFFERING SERIOUS HEAD TRAUMA AIRLIFTED FROM CHATHAM AIRPORT TO MASS. GENERAL…
CHATHAM, MASSACHUSETTS – As you will hear in the following HN Video, it sounds like the Coast Guard was looking for a boat taking on water somewhere south of Monomoy Island last evening. And it appears the souls onboard somehow (possibly escorted by the Coast Guard) made it back to the Harbormaster docks at 613 Stage Harbor Road. One patient – described as a male, approximately age 30 – was suffering serious head trauma and was airlifted from Chatham Airport to Mass. General in Boston, sometime around midnight. The other patient suffered lacerations and had possibly lost consciousness at one point. That patient was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by a Harwich FD ambulance providing mutual aid. There may have been a third patient, according to radio transmissions. NOTE: All of the above details have NOT been officially confirmed and are based on the following radio transmissions from the Coast Guard, Chatham FD, Harwich FD, and a Boston Medflight pilot, contained in the following HN Video. HN will update with official details as they become available.
