*** WATCH *** DRIVER TRANSPORTED TO CCH AFTER VEHICLE SLAMS INTO TREE IN YARMOUTH PORT
YARMOUTH PORT, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – As you will see in the following HN Video, Yarmouth police and firefighters rushed to Route 6A – just east of the Barnstable town line – after a single vehicle apparently left the roadway and struck some boulders before slamming into a large tree. The crash happened shortly after midnight, this morning.
The driver, a male in his mid-thirties, was banged up with facial injuries, but otherwise conscious and able to communicate with EMTs. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Yarmouth FD.
The vehicle was heavily damaged and smoking. Firefighters wet down the engine compartment.
The YPD is investigating the cause of the crash. One of the investigating officers requested an arrest number and responded the emergency room to continue his investigation. A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to photograph the scene. No further details available at the time of this report…
