UPDATE -MASS. STATE POLICE MEDIA STATEMENT:
Around 2:00 AM this morning, Trooper Michael Brito, a recent graduate of the 88th Recruit Training Troop, was on patrol with his field training officer Trooper Justin Glavin. The two Troopers from the State Police Bourne-Barracks observed a vehicle make several marked lanes violations. Upon attempting to conduct a motor vehicle stop on Route 28 southbound in Bourne in the area of Brigadoon Road, the vehicle, a 2017 Toyota RAV4, immediately reversed direction and fled at a high rate of speed northbound on Route 28. A short time later fellow Troopers spotted the vehicle again on Route 6 eastbound and again tried to stop the vehicle, but the RAV4 again failed to stop and sped away. Assessment of pursuit conditions again led Troopers to break contact with the vehicle in the area of Quaker Meetinghouse Road in Sandwich.
Troopers Brito and Glavin made their way to the registered address of the RAV4 in East Sandwich. Upon arrival to the registered address, they observed the RAV4 and the male operator, KYLE COCHRAN, 25, of East Sandwich, who ran into the front door of the single-family residence. Troopers were able to place COCHRAN under arrest without further incident.

INITIAL HN REPORT & VIDEO:
EAST SANDWICH, Massachusetts – As you will hear and see in the following HN Video, sometime after 2:00 a.m. this morning, a Massachusetts State Trooper engaged in a pursuit of Toyota Rav 4 that was said to be driving erratically, in and out of marked lanes, traveling southbound on Route 28 toward Falmouth. Speeds began to increase when the suspect vehicle turned around and began heading northbound on Route 28 toward the Bourne Rotary. When the speed was reported to be 110 MPH, a state police supervisor ordered all units to terminate the pursuit.
The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Sandwich Road. A caller then informed dispatch that the suspect vehicle was just seen entering onto Route 6 near Market Basket, travelling east. Troopers were authorized to re-engage in the pursuit as long as the suspect vehicle did not exit into a populated area. They were in the process of setting up tire deflation sticks when the suspect took Exit 61 (the old Exit 3), traveling south on Quaker Meeting House Road. The pursuit was once again terminated. But computer research informed troopers that the suspect was likely heading to an address on Fox Hill Lane.
Troopers responded to the Fox Hill Lane address and reportedly saw the suspect run into the residence. A perimeter was set up around the residence, but the suspect eventually was taken into custody without further incident.
The following HN Video highlights pursuit audio, along with footage of the suspect in custody at Fox Hill Lane. No further details were available at the time of this report.
