*** WATCH *** MALE ACCUSED OF ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A FIREARM
HYANNIS – According to radio transmissions, an individual was approached by three males and shown a firearm in the hallway of a local hotel. Responding officers were informed the males had left the hotel lot in a white Cadillac.
Police received the call regarding the alleged assault at around 10:30 p.m. last evening.
One of the first cruisers in the area spotted the described Cadillac on Stevens Street and conducted a traffic stop. Additional cruisers arrived and Stevens Street was completely closed down between North Street and Main Street until the scene was made safe. Three males were detained in handcuffs and placed in separate cruisers.
Officers drove a witness from the hotel to the traffic stop on Stevens Street, where at least one of the males was identified as allegedly showing a firearm.
According to a police source on scene, two of the males in the following HN Video were arrested and charged. The male dressed in the white colored jacket was charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (firearm). The male in the black hooded pullover was charged with Accessory After the Fact.
No firearm was recovered during the traffic stop.
