HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, several Barnstable Police squad cars rushed to the intersection of Route 28 and Yarmouth Road (AKA: “the soon-to-be most amazing intersection in the history of mankind!”) for a very minor collision between two vehicles, where one of the drivers reportedly pulled a knife on the occupants of the other vehicle.
Nobody was stabbed… and the driver who is accused of pulling the knife remained on scene. He was handcuffed and eventually placed in the backseat of a police cruiser under arrest. He was then transported back to BPD Headquarters to be booked for Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
A black folding knife was collected as evidence and photographed by a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit.
There are no further details at the time of this report. HN will provide official details as they become available.
