*** WATCH *** MOTORCYCLIST HURT IN EARLY MORNING CENTERVILLE CRASH
CENTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – Barnstable Police patrol officers and C.O.M.M. Firefighters rushed to the intersection of Nottingham Drive and Nye Road for a motorcycle crash during today’s early morning commute. The crash happened in the middle of a busy family neighborhood. The motorcyclist was injured and down in the roadway as commuters and school buses passed by. At least two of the commuters appear to have gotten out to check on the injured man. While en route, first responders learned the motorcyclist was conscious and alert. As you will see in the following HN Video, the man was quickly attended to by firefighters, placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. He was banged up but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. According to a witness, just prior to the crash, the motorcyclist appeared to have been waiting behind a school bus that had its safety stop lights activated. It’s uncertain what happened next, but no other vehicles were reported to be involved. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
