HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – A Barnstable Police patrolwoman responded to a commercial alarm at a closed downtown restaurant early this morning, around 12:30 a.m. The alarm was for the rear dining room door. Upon arrival, the patrolwoman requested backup after finding an unsecured door and man inside of the restaurant. The man was obviously intoxicated. He had apparently wandered into the restaurant from off the street. His luggage was found on the sidewalk across the street from the establishment. The man was taken into protective custody while officers continued to investigate whether to charge him with Breaking & Entering.
