*** WATCH *** SQUAD CARS RACE TOWARD HYANNIS RESIDENCE AFTER PERSON ALLEGEDLY CUT SCREEN, OPENED WINDOW, ENTERED, CONFRONTED OCCUPANT WITH LARGE KNIFE
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – As you will hear in the following HN Video, at around 12:30 a.m. this morning, multiple Barnstable Police squad cars raced toward an address on Vandermint Lane after a person allegedly cut a screen, opened a window and entered the residence with a large knife.
According to sources on scene, the person allegedly began damaging things inside of the residence.
At one point the person reportedly named “Marissa” allegedly confronted an occupant with the large knife. The person dropped the knife when encountered by police officers. The person was placed under arrest and transported to BPD Headquarters for booking on serious charges related to the alleged rampage and assault.
As you will see in the following HN Video, a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to document evidence inside the residence, as well as a window that was apparently damaged during the incident.
The relationship between the suspect and occupant of the residence was unknown at the time of this report. HN reached out to the Barnstable Police Department and am waiting to hear back from them with official details.
There were no reports of anyone being injured during the incident.
