*** WATCH *** TRURO HOUSE EXPLOSION GOES TO THREE ALARMS
TRURO – Large explosions could be heard as firefighters rushed to a blaze in the area of First Light Lane (near Castle Road) shortly after 11:40 p.m. last evening. The first crews on scene learned a house had just exploded, causing large debris fields. The initial structure was unrecognizable. The explosions were heard and felt miles away, according to witnesses. There were no fire hydrants in the area and crews needed to set up water supply pools… [DEVELOPING]
UPDATE – 4/21/2023 @ 3:19AM: State Fire Marshal on scene investigating.
HN NOTE: There were no injuries reported at the time of this report. Neighbors tell HN that the couple that owns the house were staying in a nearby cottage to the rear of the fireground… and that they were unharmed… but those reports have not yet been officially confirmed.
