UPDATE – 4/19/2023: According to the Barnstable Police, DUSTIN ROBIE, 33, of South Yarmouth, was charged with ASSAULT W/DANGEROUS WEAPON, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, and INTIMIDATION of a WITNESS/JUROR/POLICE/COURT OFFICIAL.
MICHAEL FAHY, 35, of Hyannis was charged with DISORDERLY CONDUCT.

INITIAL HN REPORT – 4/17/2023:
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Main Street traffic was briefly shut down last evening, after police responded to reports of two suspicious males, with one of the males reportedly carrying a rifle.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m., officers encountered both adult males in the area of 410 Main Street. The rifle turned out to be plastic, but realistic enough to have allegedly cause alarm. The plastic rifle appeared to have been broken into several pieces when HN arrived on scene. Both males were detained in handcuffs and the roadway was reopened.
Both males were charged with disorderly conduct, with one of the males also being charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (plastic rifle).
