Woman drives into tree and knocks herself out after lover’s quarrel… patrolman gets a flat, yet still manages to respond… [Dramatic video]
Hyannis – Late Wednesday evening, police rushed to a single car MVA where a woman was knocked unconscious and unresponsive in a family neighborhood on Arrowhead Drive…
Hyannis rescue arrived and eased the young woman onto a stretcher… she was still unconscious…
Meanwhile officers searched the vehicle and discovered drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe and a bong…
… but drugs are not believed to be the cause of last night’s crash… it was something much stronger…
… a lover’s quarrel.
Hyannis News spoke with the boyfriend of the young female, who was approximately in her 20s …
According to the boyfriend and police officers at the scene, there was an argument a short distance down the road…
One thing led to another and the woman kicked her boyfriend to the curb and then proceeded to “floor it.”
After a short distance, in a thickly settled residential area, the emotional driver somehow lost control of the vehicle, crashed through a split-rail fence and directly into a tree…
First responders believe the woman was knocked unconscious from the collision with tree, combined with the impact of the airbag which deployed in her face…
The female suffered facial injuries… and was transported to CCH, where her condition is uncertain… but not believed to be life threatening…
Also of note:
While rushing to the scene, a veteran patrolman got a flat tire, but had no choice but to continue on…
The officer told Hyannis News he was surprised his cruiser still managed to hug the road and handle fairly well…
Officers managed to have a moment of levity, while the tire was being changed, after the scene was attended to and the victim was on her way to hospital where she is expected to survive…
As for the boyfriend who was kicked to the curb? He was upset his girl was injured, but also relieved to learn she is expected to pull through…
… the couple have been together for about two years.

Also, the following photo was sent in by a Hyannis News reader...
The above photo was sent in by Jenny Perreault and this is what she had to say about the experience:
"This is a pic from a car accident in my yard this evening at 66 arrowhead drive in Hyannis. A very fast moving car crashed through my split rail fence and was stopped because of my cherry tree. My family was just beyond the tree in 2 bedrooms."
Thank you Jenny and I'm glad you and your family are all safe and sound!
