Barnstable police officers and detectives responded to a Hyannis address after 4pm and were told by the court officer that he had just discovered the weapons missing…
Police are trying to determine exactly when the guns were stolen…
The court officer had not noticed anything else missing or disturbed… at least not lately… The theft could have happened anytime between this past January and this afternoon…
A criminal investigation officer from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office responded and processed the scene for finger prints and other evidence…
The four stolen handguns are described as a 45 auto, a 40 auto, and a 9mm auto… along with one revolver…
The weapons were legally stored and the court officer has the appropriate permits to possess them…

Actual Barnstable Street Crime Unit Press Release:
On April 23rd, 2014, The Barnstable Street Crime Unit (SCU) arrested two (2) subjects for narcotics violations following motor vehicle stops. Both are very well known to well known to Cape Cod law enforcement. At 2:48pm, SCU members Barnstable Sheriff’s Department Sgt Kim Saladino and Mashpee Officer Michael Assad observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal in the area of Rte 28 and the Airport Rotary. The vehicle was stopped and the operator identified as Robert S Foley, age 36, of Dennis. ASSAD observed FOLEY have what appeared to be white powder around his left nostril. ASSAD suspected the substance to be a narcotic. A follow up investigation revealed FOLEY had approximately 2 ½ grams of cocaine in his pants pocket. The cocaine was contained inside a folded up $20.00 bill. FOLEY was placed under arrest and charged with possession of class B substance cocaine and a motor vehicle violation. FOLEY is currently on probation in Orleans District Court for property related crimes. In May of 2013, FOLEY was found guilty of B&E night time with intent to commit a felony and larceny more than $250. He received a 1 year suspended sentence and was placed on probation.
At 4:50pm, SCU members Barnstable Officer Scott Wright and Yarmouth Officer Nicholas Ambrosini assisted with a SCU motor vehicle stop on Pitcher’s Way in Hyannis. The vehicle’s operator had failed to use a turn signal on West Main Street. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Michael E Campagna, age 24, of Mashpee. A hypodermic needle was observed in the vehicle’s interior. During a follow up investigation, WRIGHT located prescription medication on the person of CAMPAGNA. The prescription medication did not belong to him nor did he have a valid reason for having it in his possession. CAMPAGNA was arrested and charged with possession of class C/clonazepam and possession of class E/amphetamine. CAMPAGNA had just left Barnstable District Court hours earlier. He had been arrested on April 22nd, 2013 by the Barnstable Police Department and charged with 2 counts of shoplifting from the Cape Cod Mall. He also has additional larceny cases pending in both Barnstable and Falmouth District Court.
Both will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Wednesday April 24th, 2014.

… it turned out the 25-year-old was just an overtired deep sleeper (at least that was her story and she apparently stuck to it...).
The woman was evaluated by rescue workers, declined treatment and collected her baggage... along with her luggage...
She left the area seemingly wide awake and ready for the remains of the day.
