Woman found unconscious along roadside… [Updated]
Hyannis – Members of the Barnstable Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU) came across a 58-year-old unconscious woman this afternoon at approximately 4:45pm.
The woman was discovered along Route 132 in between the Rodeway Inn and Harbor Freight Tools.
By the time Hyannis Rescue arrive, the stricken woman began to show signs that she was waking up.
She had what appeared to be superficial cuts on her face and at this point it is still uncertain what caused her to fall.
She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.

Update – 8:40pm – In a brief conversation with Lieutenant Tom Kenney of the Hyannis Fire Department, Hyannis News learned this incident was not the result of a traffic accident and was considered a “medical emergency.”
Upon arrival, Hyannis Fire Department paramedics were uncertain of the exact cause of the woman falling unconscious but because of their assistance they are happy to report the woman’s condition improved during transport and she was considered in stable condition when they arrived at Cape Cod Hospital.
Lieutenant Kenny also credited the members of the SCU who noticed the incident and immediately called Hyannis Rescue.
