Motorcyclist banged up after head-on with SUV… [HN PHOTOS]

YARMOUTH PORT – A motorcyclist was reportedly down in the roadway after a head-on type collision on Route 6A, right in front of the Yarmouth Port Village Store this afternoon shortly before 4:00 p.m..

According to radio transmissions, the motorcyclist was conscious and alert… and able to communicate with first responders. The patient was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, in unknown condition at the time of this report.

The Yarmouth Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene with photos.

Traffic was slowed in both directions as first responders worked the scene…
