Meet the young soldiers who keep their babies and the rest of us safe…
Hyannis – It pays to walk your dog down Main Street!
Especially if you get to meet our very own U.S. Army ‘Daughters of Liberty…’ Mckayla (on right) has not been deployed yet, but said she has 3 more years to serve and it’s a possibility.
Tracy (left) has already completed two tours in Iraq, loves her pitbulls, and especially enjoyed meeting my 90 pound “Ms. Gracie Marie.” Tracy is Airborne qualified and wears her patch with pride (I’m not entirely sure because my eyesight isn’t what it use to be, but I believe the other patch right below ‘Airborne’ signifies Army Special Forces.)
It’s always an honor to meet and thank our soldiers… and it’s especially refreshing to see local young moms with so much love for their babies and country.
I didn’t have time to ask them too many questions… and I’m not sure if they are both from the Town of Barnstable or not… but being the official Editor-in-Chief of Hyannis News, I’m using the full authority of my office and taking the liberty to proudly declare them “Daughters of Hy-Town!”
May God continue to protect and bless the both of them, along with their two beautiful baby boys.
