YPD: Drunk driver crashed into traffic light and left the scene…

On Friday, November 21, 2014 at 4:40AM Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Brian Carchedi was dispatched to the intersection of Route 28 and Old Main St for a report of a disabled motor vehicle.
Officer Carchedi arrived on location and located an unoccupied Chevy Malibu with heavy front end damage parked in the middle of the roadway blocking the entire eastbound lane of travel. He further observed heavy damage to the island at the intersection of Route 28 and Old Main with several traffic signs knocked over.
Within minutes Yarmouth Police K9 Patrol Officer Sean Gannon and Patrol Officer Rick Aprea located a subject walking down the side of Route 28 near Ocean Avenue identified as Steven Vose.
Vose was determined to be the operator of the vehicle and failed a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was subsequently placed under arrest. He was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters and will be arraigned in the Barnstable District Court this morning.
