24-YEAR-OLD MAN PRONOUNCED DECEASED AFTER MASHPEE MOTORCYCLE CRASH
The following is an official media statement from Thomas A. Rose, Acting Police Chief of the Mashpee Police Department:
“On September 22, 2023 at approximately 10:54 P.M., the Mashpee Police Department received a report of a motorcycle accident versus a pole in the area of Old Barnstable Road and Kelly Road. Upon arrival, Mashpee Police Officers located the operator of the motorcycle lying unconscious in the roadway. First responders immediately started performing CPR on the 24 year old male crash victim.
It appears that the operator lost control and exited the paved portion of the roadway and onto the soft shoulder before striking a utility pole.
The motorcycle operator was transported from the scene by rescue personnel to Falmouth Hospital, and was pronounced deceased shortly before arrival at the hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Mashpee Police Department and Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit.”
