ALARMED WITNESS: Man had his pants down inside Dunkin Donuts…

HYANNIS – Yesterday at about 4:20pm, Barnstable Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts at Main Street and Sea Street for what was initially described as an unwelcomed suspicious male hanging around inside the premises.
Responding officers spoke with the individual and were about to send him on his way, when a woman came forward, providing officers with the rest of the story…
Police were told that at one point the suspicious man was observed with his pants completely down exposing his private areas.
The suspect was reportedly trying to change his clothing and was unable to gain access to the store bathroom.
Upon further investigation, officers reportedly found the man to be in possession of an illegal spring loaded knife, along with uncapped hypodermic syringes…
John Stockton, a 33-year-old homeless man from Hyannis, was arrested and charged with Open and Gross Lewdness. He was also charged with being in possession of the illegal spring loaded knife.
Stockton was being released on $40 bail when police discovered he was also wanted for his alleged involvement in a recent unarmed robbery.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Stockton, but the warrant had not yet been entered into the computer system. Stockton was eventually arrested a second time for charges related to the unarmed robbery.
Stockton is reportedly being held, at the BPD, on five hundred dollars bail.
No further details were available at the time of this report.
