NEW DETAILS – UPDATED: According to Yarmouth Officer Christopher Kent’s report, Christopher Doyle, the OUI suspect who crashed into a pole and shut down Route 28 traffic for hours Sunday morning, also causing power outages, stated he had just left the Irish Village and was on his way back to Boston to go to work.
Doyle told officers he works as a firefighter. Documents also show his employer as Logan Airport.
Doyle also reportedly said he had been texting his 17-year-old daughter when he suddenly dropped his phone, went of the road, and struck a pole.
Doyle admitted to having one drink with dinner, but a witness had told police he saw Doyle’s vehicle driving “all over the road” prior to the crash.
Doyle reportedly blew a .14% blood alcohol content on a breathalyzer back at YPD Headquarters…
Doyle reportedly has a previous BOP entry for Operating to Endanger back in 1994.
