Marstons Mills – Just after 7pm, Barnstable squad cars and at least one State Trooper rushed to the Cash Market on Route 149 and began searching for a man who had just brandished a knife…
Barnstable Patrolman Steve Everett was one of the first on scene and alerted other officers that the suspect was last seen fleeing up River Road to the rear of the store.
Barnstable Patrolman Troy Perry and his K-9 partner Izzo were also on scene within minutes and began tracking to the rear of the store.
Police were searching for a white male wearing a black winter coat. The knife he used had a three to four inch blade… The robber reportedly grabbed money from the register, along with two packs of Marlboro Red Cigarettes…
A Barnstable County Sheriff Crime Scene Investigator took photos…
Detectives Teresa Gallant and Kevin Connolly were on scene reviewing video and other evidence hours after the robbery…
… the investigation is still active and ongoing.
