BREAKING: Car lands on its roof, snapping pole in two, bringing down power lines… driver taken to CCH under trauma alert…
BARNSTABLE VILLAGE – Police and firefighters responded to a nasty single car rollover crash around 2:00 a.m. this morning. The crash happened on Route 6A near the intersection with Bone Hill Road, snapping a pole in two and bringing down power lines on top of the vehicle. The driver suffered head injuries, including lacerations and facial trauma… and was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital under a trauma alert. The driver appeared conscious when being placed into the ambulance. Route 6A needed to be completely closed down due to the dangerousness of the situation. Eversource crews were arriving at the time of this report (approximately 3:45 a.m.) and the road is expected to remain closed throughout the morning commute (and likely hours beyond).
