BIG FIGHTS TONIGHT: Barboza’s heavyweight title on the line! [Exclusive Weigh-in Footage & Interviews]

HYANNIS – HyTown’s Jesse “Bad News” Barboza will be defending his Northeast Heavyweight Champion title tonight at Barnstable High School against Francisco Mireles of Sonora, Mexico.
Paul Gonsalves of Harwich will also be stepping into the ring against former Mexican National Team fighter Jose Humberto Corral.
Hyannis News caught up to both Cape fighters to get their thoughts leading up to tonight’s fights.
Barboza appeared confident but cautious, as he has everything to lose and his opponent has everything to gain. Barboza’s challenger is a much heavier fighter, outweighing him by nearly 50 pounds. If one of his punches catches the champ the wrong way, it could be lights out for the hometown favorite.
There are a total of five professional fights scheduled:
1. Jesse Barboza vs. Francisco Mireles (8 Rounds)
2. Paul Gonsalves vs. Jose Humberto Corral (8 Rounds)
3. Vinnie Carita vs. Rafael Valenzuela (8 Rounds)
4. Tolan Tascoe vs. Paulo Desouza (4 Rounds)
5. Malik Jackson vs. Bryan Abraham (4 Rounds)
