HYANNIS – HN was in the area just before 3:00PM when police were out looking for a man who allegedly just stole the tip jar from the Dunkin Donuts at Main Street and Sea Street.

HN was parked along a likely direction of travel and that’s when the suspect approached looking for a ride…

Police arrived soon after and detained the suspect before taking him back to the donut shop and trespassing him from the premises indefinitely. The suspect is well known to police and the amount taken reportedly turned out to be a relatively small amount. The suspect will be summonsed into court in this case should police decide to pursue charges.
