HYANNIS – If HN was driving any faster or not paying attention, I could have easily smoked two young pedestrians walking right out into traffic in low light conditions like a couple of dip-[BLEEPS] earlier this evening…

Personally, I’m glad they didn’t get hit by anyone, despite being the guy who films those types of accidents.

Nobody in this business wishes for tragic hard news stories. But when and if something does happen, it’s my job to get there and document it. Please don’t be that guy lying in the street. Most pedestrian accidents are preventable through an abundance of respect and caution. If you’re a pedestrian, do not EVER trust drivers to see you and stop in time! Many of the drivers on the Cape are irresponsible in many ways these days. Cape drivers are often texting… or high on smack… or drunk… or whatever!

So be VERY careful!

VIDEO: Woman extricated and sent to CCH after collision with van which reportedly did not have its lights on…

The following video highlights the entire scene. It show rescuers prying open the passenger side door to get to the patient. It also shows one of the drivers displaying one of his paintings, upset it was damaged during the collision. The accident occurred on Center Street early Friday evening… and the patient’s injuries did not appear life-threatening.

PHOTO: Hyannis firefighters help a man who said he was struck by a vehicle in the area of Center Street and Main Street on Thursday afternoon. The patient was transported to CCH with injuries that were not life-threatening…

PHOTOS: YARMOUTH — A motorcyclist was hurt and taken to CCH after a collision with another vehicle on Route 28 near Takis Pizza on Friday afternoon. The biker was down in the street but able to talk with first responders. One witness told HN he was very worried about his beloved bike and wanted to make sure all of the parts went along with the motorcycle on the tow truck when it got hauled away…
