MAYHEM: Disturbance at Hyannis residence spills out into the street… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – DEVELOPING – At about 11:31PM, after receiving at least two 911 calls, several police squad cars rushed to an address on Hamden Circle for some sort of disturbance that had just spilled out onto the street.
A female was transported from the scene to CCH with unknown injuries…
According to radio traffic, officers had probable cause for the immediate arrest of a Centerville man who had reportedly fled the scene in a black Honda coupe, or similar type vehicle…
About an hour into the investigation, multiple officers converged on 105 Beechwood Road in Centerville. Police had information the suspect may have been in possession of a firearm, according to radio transmissions.
HN was in the area of Beechwood Road, but stayed a very safe distance from the address as not endanger officers who were in the process of cautiously taking the alleged violent suspect into custody.
Shortly after 12:30AM, a Barnstable Police Sergeant notified dispatch that the suspect was in custody.
The suspect was reportedly charged with Mayhem, Breaking & Entering in the Nighttime, and Domestic Assault & Battery. Although the suspect does not reside at the Hamden Circle address, he still will be charged with Domestic A&B because he reportedly has a child in common with the female who was sent to CCH. Also, due to a new Massachusetts law, police are unable to release details when an arrest is domestic related. However, details are usually available after the arraignment through public court records.
The condition of the female taken to CCH is unknown at the time of this report. Also, another male was taken into custody in the area of the initial call on Hamden Circle. Details surrounding his arrest were also unavailable at the time of this report.
HN will provide updates as they become available.
The following dashcam video shows officers walking the suspect from 105 Beechwood Road to an awaiting cruiser parked about a block away.
