HN SHOCK VIDEO: 61-year-old driver ordered out at gunpoint after failing to pull over for Mashpee Police…
CENTERVILLE – [DEVELOPING] – As you will see in the following HN SHOCK VIDEO, at about 12:22 this morning, HN was rolling on dashcam footage shortly after a wanted vehicle crossed over the town line from Mashpee into Barnstable. The vehicle had been involved in a slow speed pursuit where it allegedly failed to pull over for Mashpee Police Officers. Mashpee Police decided to break off the pursuit at the town line while notifying the Barnstable Police. According to radio transmissions, Mashpee was initially alerted of the vehicle crossing over into their town on Route 28 from Falmouth. The vehicle was said to have been driving erratically by failing to stay within the marked travel lanes.
As you will see in the dashcam footage, HN noticed the vehicle traveling eastbound along Route 28 in Osterville. HN notified responding Barnstable Police Officers and they initiated a “felony stop” just east of Five Corners Road on Route 28 in Centerville.
A driver and passenger were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Both were handcuffed while Barnstable Officers waited for a Mashpee Patrolman to arrive on scene to continue their investigation.
According to sources on scene, the 61-year-old driver from Hyannis and his passenger were very cooperative with officers and did not appear under the influence of alcohol. HN learned that one of the occupants had just arrived to the United States from Jamaica. It’s uncertain why the driver allegedly failed to pull over for police officers back in Mashpee.
The Mashpee Police officer issued the driver a citation at the scene, possibly for marked lanes violations and failure to stop… but the charges have not yet been officially confirmed.
