UNARMED ROBBERY: Male reportedly pushed convenience store clerk, ran off with handful of cigars… [HN VIDEO]
CENTERVILLE – The male reportedly pushed the clerk, went behind the counter, and then grabbed a handful of cigars.
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 8:00 p.m. this evening, police responded to the Centerville Food Shop at 1638 Falmouth Road for a report of a past assault between a customer and store clerk.
The first Barnstable Patrolman on scene immediately reported back a more serious crime with all the elements of an “unarmed robbery.”
Additional squad cars saturated the vicinity as a Barnstable Police K9 Unit began searching a wooded area to the rear of the Centerville Post Office.
The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties…
Police reviewed video and a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to assist with collecting evidence.
Of the items taken, HN has learned the suspect made off with a bunch of cigars of the common variety typically kept behind the counter at convenience stores.
The suspect is still at large at the time of this report and the investigation is very active and ongoing. The following HN Video highlights the scene…
