Police Raid Yarmouthport House and Seize Drugs, Cash, and Semi-Automatic Handgun
On Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at approximately 6:15AM—the Yarmouth Police Department, led by Yarmouth Police Detective Christopher VanNess and the Yarmouth Police Proactive Anti-Crime Unit—with support of the Yarmouth Police Drug Enforcement Unit Detectives, the Massachusetts State Police Cape Cod Drug Task Force, the Federal Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives Bureau, and the Cape Cod Regional SWAT Team—executed a search warrant at 55 Tasmania Drive in Yarmouthport which resulted in the arrest of a career criminal for the felony distribution of the drugs.
Located in the suspects bedroom was:
.380 Jimenz Arms semi-automatic pistol and a box of ammunition
(23) Clonazepam pills
(18) Amphetamine pills
(10) Alprazolam pills
(20) M. Amphet salts capsules
(9) Lorazepam pills
(12) Suboxone strips
(4) Clear plastic baggies of marijuana
$665.00 in cash
Subsequent to the execution of the search warrant the suspect was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and [was scheduled to be arraigned in the Barnstable District Court yesterday.]
