Falmouth Ancient Chinese Wellness Spa Owners Held on $50K Bail
A Fairhaven man and wife were arrested by Falmouth Police on Thursday afternoon for their alleged part in running a prostitution operation out of the Ancient Chinese Wellness Spa on Waquoit Highway.
Mark J. Clinton, 50, was arrested for two outstanding arrest warrants. The charges included two-counts each of Derive Support from Prostitution, Keep House of Prostitution, and Unlicensed Massage/Bath.
Li Zhou, 49, was also arrested and charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee and Conspiracy.
Falmouth Police executed a search warrant at the Ancient Chinese Wellness Spa, 460 Waquoit Highway, on Thursday, February 8th at 1:34 pm. Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Technicians assisted and collected several pieces of evidence from the business. Fairhaven Police also assisted with the investigation.
Falmouth Inspectional Services also responded and examined the property.
A similar search warrant was executed last September at the same location, which resulted in the arrest of Mr. Clinton for sex trafficking.
Clinton and Zhou were held on $50,000 bail and will be arraigned Friday morning.
