CRASH INTO HISTORIC HOUSE IN YARMOUTH [HN READER PHOTO]
Yarmouth Police and Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle crash this morning at the intersection of Rte 28 and Bellevue Ave. One of the vehicles struck a building after landing on its front porch at 1368 Rte 28. Yarmouth FD EMTs were called to evaluate at least one patient. Nobody was transported. The YPD is investigating the cause of the crash.
According to sources, the building that was struck at 1368 Rte 28 is an old historic building near the Bass River Bridge. And it was the original home of the old Bass River Savings Bank. (It was built in the 1850s according to an online source…)
