UPDATE ~ CORRECTION ~ 5/11/14, 8:30pm ~ COMM Fire confirmed that the victim in today’s skydiving accident was a male, not a female… Hyannis News apologizes for this error.
Marstons Mills – At about 10:30am, COMM Firefighters and Rescue, along with the Barnstable Police, responded to the Cape Cod Airfield for a skydiver who landed hard and possibly broke bones…
The skydiver was placed onto a stretcher and transported to CCH with ankle and foot injuries…
A private company that offers skydiving to the public, uses the airfield for their business…
Witnesses say [he] may not have pulled [his] legs up in time as instructed…
According to staff, skydiving injuries are not common at Cape Cod Airfield…
