BOURNE, Massachusetts – The driver was entrapped when first responders located his hidden vehicle rolled over into thick scrub growth. He was conscious and alert. And it’s a good thing others witnessed the crash, as the vehicle would have been difficult to notice by unaware passersby.

The crash happened around 9:40 p.m. on Route 6 westbound, just prior to Exit 55 (the old Exit 1C). The right lane needed to be taken by first responders working the scene. Traffic was light and there were no significant delays.

Bourne Firefighters cut away the windshield in order to free the driver, who was transported via ambulance to Tobey Hospital in Wareham, according to radio transmissions.

The Massachusetts State Police is investigating the cause of the single vehicle crash.
