HN VIDEO: Firefighters quickly knock down out of control car fire in middle of densely populated apartment complex…
CENTERVILLE – As you will see in the following HN Video, firefighters quickly had to knock down an out of control car fire earlier this evening.
COMM Firefighters and Barnstable Police patrol units quickly responded the Holly Hill Apartments at 1815 Falmouth Road for what was initially reported as a structure fire. Even after first responders learned that it was a car fire, a quick response was just as crucial due to volatile flames being close to the buildings in a densely populated family apartment complex.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames and in the following HN Video you will see that they had to spend a period time cooling down the shell of an SUV which had been completely destroyed.
Witnesses say a resident of the apartments had been working on his SUV when the front-end caught fire… and by the time a garden hose was put into play, the fire had spread and the vehicle became fully involved.
