HN INVESTIGATES: Young working mom hurt in Monday night nightclub fray…
HYANNIS — A young working mother was sent to CCH with severe bruises and an injury to her jaw after a disturbance outside of Embargo Monday evening. The initial disturbance reportedly began inside of the nightclub. While walking to her vehicle, tensions reportedly flared a second time and the woman was reportedly unexpectedly blindsided and knocked down, striking her head on the pavement in the alleyway which runs next to the nightclub. One source reports the woman was not an active combatant in the fray. She was transported to CCH by Hyannis Rescue after blood was discovered coming from one of her ears.
The injured woman is trying to find out who knocked her to the ground… and why. HN has reached out to the nightclub’s owner to gain insights, as well as whether or not the incident was captured on surveillance video.
HN is investigating and will update this story as details unfold.

UPDATE: The club’s owner has responded to HN. He related the affray occurred during an annual Christmas party for Embargo staff and their friends. He related the disturbance may have been the result of a couple of guests having “too much Christmas Cheer.” HN advised him of the investigation into who knocked down the injured woman and asked if he could check his surveillance footage, especially any from outside cameras.
HN will provide updates as they unfold.
