HN PHOTOS: ANOTHER BAD CRASH AT ENTRANCE TO BELL TOWER MALL…
CENTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Police needed to completely shut down Route 28 again after two vehicles collided at the entrance to the Bell Tower Mall at around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon. Crashes at this location are a recurring, ongoing event. HN doesn’t always have time to cover all of the crashes at this section of Route 28… but happened to be on the scene of another bad crash at the entrance to the Bell Tower Mall just 11 days ago, CLICK the following link:
HN PHOTOS: Police, firefighters work Centerville crash scene, one person transported…
The running joke between hardened first responders is that HN could simply use old file photos from past crashes when covering new crashes at this location… and nobody would know the difference… which is true… and it would possibly be funny if people weren’t always getting badly hurt at these notoriously dangerous locations. And these bad crashes WILL continue to happen at the entrance to the Bell Tower Mall… and aside from the gallows humor we first responders use as a grim coping mechanism, there’s really nothing funny about it. People are getting hurt.
HN peeked into an ambulance and observed a young man in obvious pain this afternoon. And at least one person was transported to Cape Cod Hospital…
… and the Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash…
… and first responders worked diligently to reopen traffic during the rush hour…
… blah, blah, blah…
HN NOTE: Please always drive defensively. Our Cape roadways are poorly engineered and dangerous. And there are morons always texting, speeding, raging, drinking, doing drugs, and basically driving like total d-bags… so PLEASE – for the love of GOD! AND YOUR OWN SAFETY – SLOW DOWN AND DRIVE DEFENSIVELY!
And saying a little prayer when you hit the roadways probably wouldn’t hurt either…
