HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Barnstable Police responded to the Oak Grove Cemetery on Sea Street yesterday at about 4:00PM after an unresponsive woman was found underneath a tree.

According to the caller, the woman was not breathing and her lips appeared blue.

HN spoke with a middle aged woman who said she attempted CPR but was unable to get a response. She believed the unresponsive woman was in her early 20s… (although police have not yet officially confirmed any details.)

According to a witness, the unresponsive woman was taken to CCH but the situation looked grim (again, no official details have been released at the time of this report).

Barnstable and state police detectives investigated a taped off area surrounding the spot where the young woman was found.

Oak Grove Cemetery has a steady stream of light foot traffic throughout the day and while speaking with two females who remained at the scene, detectives advised others not to approach the area as they conducted their investigation.
