*** HN PHOTOS *** HECTIC HYANNIS OVERNIGHT
HYANNIS, Massachusetts – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – At around 3:30 a.m. this morning, Barnstable Patrol officers came across an unresponsive young male down on the pavement between two parked cars, behind a hotel along the waterfront. The male was said to be approximately 25 years old, according to sources. He was witnessed earlier “acting erratically,” and may have been between the two vehicles for as long as two hours. Medics were performing CPR with the assistance of a LUCAS device as he was being transported to Cape Cod Hospital. A Barnstable Police detective was notified. The state police also responded to investigate (including one of their evidence tech. trucks – the state police also took photos). It’s unsure what caused the young man to become unresponsive. The scene was still active at the time of this report (5:30 a.m.). No further details at this time. HN will provide updates if and when they become available. [DEVELOPING]
WOMAN ALLEGEDLY KICKED IN HEAD WHEN TWO COUPLES BATTLE IT OUT IN THE EAST END
At around 10:00 p.m. last evening, police rushed to the vicinity of the “Red Store” on Main Street in the East End for a report of two couples fighting. The injured couple remained on scene and met officers as they arrived. The other couple had reportedly just fled the area on foot. The man and woman who remained on scene had suffered cuts, bruises and abrasions. The man’s right eye was swollen and cut. The woman’s left eye was also swollen and cut. Both were evaluated by Hyannis Rescue, but not transported. Officers were able to identify the fleeing couple and began searching the area to no avail. The investigating officer was going to apply for an arrest warrant because the woman who remained on scene had been observed being kicked in the head, which is an alleged felony. The couple that fled is believed to be staying in the woods somewhere between Hyannis and West Yarmouth. [DEVELOPING]
