OSTERVILLE, Massachusetts – [HN photo notes] – At around 4:00 a.m. this morning, Barnstable police squad cars responded to a report of a “naked” man banging on a woman’s door, saying he had been attacked. The woman’s residence was on Tower Hill Road, in the vicinity of Joshua’s Pond. The attack allegedly occurred in the parking lot of Joshua’s Pond.

Officers encountered the alleged victim near the entrance to Joshua’s Pond. He had pants on when HN arrived on scene. He also had scrapes all over his upper body. A COMM FD ambulance responded and evaluated the man’s injuries. He was not transported to hospital.

A second man was detained in the vicinity of two parked vehicles inside the pond’s parking area. There was a female standing outside of one of the vehicles. The attack was the result of some type of domestic disturbance involving both men and the woman. Officers located a board nearby that had been allegedly used as a weapon during the attack.

The male in the top photo was arrested for Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, along with domestic violence charges. It appears that at least two of the individuals had been sleeping inside their vehicles. It’s unknown whether the couple were homeless or not. Because of DV laws, further details cannot be made available until after the arraignment.
